Waala Traditional State Condemns Rising Immorality and Calls for Action

The Waala Traditional State, led by Wa Naa  Fuseini  Seidu Pelupuo IV, has taken a strong stance against the increasing  levels of indolence and immorality within the society, particularly in the Upper West Region of Ghana. In a press release issued on Thursday, the chieftaincy institution expressed deep concern over the rising spate of moral decay and issued a stern warning to those involved.According to the press release signed by Naa Ali Pelpuo Yelmaana, Paramount of Busa Traditional Area on behalf of the Overlord, the Traditional Council had recently voiced its opposition to issues such as pornography and LGBTQI+ activities within its jurisdiction. However, the council's recent statement highlighted yet another disturbing trend – the emergence of pedophilia in the area. This act, characterized by the exploitation and abuse of minors, was met with fierce condemnation from the council

The Waala Traditional Council thereby expressed its dissatisfaction with the moral decline among the youth and the prevalence of pedophilia cases. They extended their unwavering support to the security agencies operating in the region, urging them to take decisive action against perpetrators of such immoral acts. The council emphasized the importance of thorough investigation and vigilant law enforcement to ensure that those responsible face the full force of the law.

In the press release, the Traditional Council fervently called for justice for the victims of pedophilia, emphasizing the need to protect their lives and dignity. They encouraged the security agencies to carry out their duties without fear or favor, ensuring that those found guilty are held accountable for their actions.
